160W/m2 heating mats are designed for use beneath tiles on a variety of floor bases, including secured wooden floors, well insulated concrete sub-floors or Thermal Insulation Board. These mats are also suitable for use beneath wooden, vinyl and carpet floor finishes if they are first covered by 12mm of flexible levelling compound. 160W/m2 heating mats can provide primary heating in most well insulated rooms, especially if they are laid onto insulation board. For conservatories and other high heat loss rooms our 200W/m2 mats are more suitable.
